We partner with clients to assess environmental exposures, produce future risk scenarios, and deliver data-driven clarity that can help support management decisions, insurance optimization, and long-term resilience planning.

    Working with forward-thinking businesses, we equip them with the environmental intelligence and actionable insights they need to build more resilient operations - adapting to area challenges while protecting their assets, operations, and bottom line.

    Our database and digital technology give you access to clear and easy to understand information about increasingly common weather-related risks and natural and man-made risks, to improve your ability to make informed choices. In a complex world, with a rapidly changing climate and increased environmental risks, our need for information about potential natural and environmental risks and hazards becomes greater every day.

    Our co-founders recognized the critical need for clear and accessible information when they conducted searches for environmental risks. To their surprise, they found it frustrating and extremely difficult to find the relevant information. As a result, they resolved to build and provide an aggregated and easily comprehensible platform that is dedicated to showing important area-specific information about an extensive range of potential environmental risks and hazards.

    The need has never been higher for robust information to incorporate in organizations’ decisions and transactional choices.

    AreaHub is designed to offer you critically important information about current and projected environmental factors while providing an integrated experience intended to change the accessibility and value of environmental data with a clear, up-to-date platform and its reports.     Job Title: Business Development & Sales Representative

    Employment Type: Part-time Contract

    Location: Remote

    About AreaHub: AreaHub is a climate and environmental tech platform offering extensive local environmental risk information for businesses and consumers in the U.S. As Fast Company stated, AreaHub is a tool to prepare “for what nature might throw at you.” We are seeking a professional and experienced sales candidate with a successful track record of closing deals with companies to increase AreaHub Enterprise’s visibility and business development.

    Responsibilities

    • Proactively identify and pursue leads through various channels such as cold calling, email outreach, and networking events, to generate business development opportunities and exceed revenue targets.
    • Maintain a well-organized and up-to-date sales pipeline, tracking progress for each lead from initial contact to closing the deal.
    • Understand the unique value proposition of our product and effectively articulate how it addresses the challenges and goals of prospective clients.
    • Develop and deliver compelling sales presentations and product demonstrations tailored to the specific needs and pain points of potential clients.
    • Continuously monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify new opportunities for product improvement and business growth.

    Required Skills

    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, preferably in business, marketing, or other relevant majors.
    • At least 5 years of prior successful sales experience, with a proven track record of successfully closing deals for companies and exceeding sales targets.
    • Strong negotiation and communication skills (both written and verbal), strong interpersonal skills, and a positive and energetic personality.
